Malice Murder
Malice murder is the unlawful killing of another person with malice aforethought, meaning a deliberate intent to take a life. Georgia law recognizes two forms: express malice, where the intent is direct and deliberate, and implied malice, where the circumstances show what the statute calls an “abandoned and malignant heart.” This is the charge most people associate with the word murder.

Felony Murder
Felony murder occurs when a death results from the commission of an underlying felony, regardless of intent to kill. Murder in the Second Degree
